Finisher will not offset or collate, even if Collate is selected.

Cause: Software version 113.xxx.001.06011 introduced a new setting labeled "Conditional Finisher Offset".

Solution: Login as admin → Device → Tools → Device Settings → Output → Offset → Conditional Finisher Offset

When enabling or disabling this option, test the offset and collate functions in print and copy mode (Platen and DADF).

This option is On by default for the following Finisher and Speed Configurations:

Global A Integrated Office Finisher – Mid 45 and 55 ppm

Global B Office Finisher – Mid 55 ppm and High 70 ppm

Operation:

If “Conditional Finisher Offset” is ‘On’, the engine speed and finisher are compared and…

  • If the combination of Finishing options is one of those that will not run at rated speed with Offset on, then Offset is disabled, no matter what the other Offset settings are.  But if the job requires Finishing Options (staple, punch, etc.), then it is allowed to Offset normally, because it is going to be slower regardless.
  • If the Finishing combination is one that will run at rated speed, then the setting is ignored, and Offset happens normally.

If “Conditional Finisher Offset” is ‘Off,’ then Offset happens normally, and certain configurations of Engine/Finisher will not run at rated speed.

note : Once the modification has been made, it is necessary to restart the machine.
