Volunteering in Taiwan with basic Chinese

Hi all! I am an American who is going to Taipei to study in NTU's CLD for 6 months (Nov 2026-May 2027). I really want to become involved with the community while I am living there, both because my family is from Taiwan and to improve my Chinese.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of volunteering positions I would be able to do as someone with basic/intermediate Chinese proficiency? I would love to have something that is medical related, as I'm applying to medical school in the US right now and am really interested in learning more about healthcare in Taiwan, but also open to other positions like teaching English.
