What do to when I take tower early?

Sometimes I am able to take tower very early (think minute 10 or even before that) which is obviously good but I sometimes struggle with what to do afterwards for farm. The wave on toplane often ends up in an award position between their 2nd and former 1st turret and standing there almost always screams for a gank but my other laners (understandably) don't want to swap lanes most of the time since that will also apply for them.

What I often do is try to take a camp or two from the enemy jungle and I always return to lane if I see all other 4 people on the map but that is not viable most of the time. I also path to dragon or help with grubs/herald but those objectives are also not up 100% of the time so there are sometimes those 1-2 minute windows where I am really lost on what to do
