She dumped me after antidepressant (Zoloft)

Hello,

I wanted to share my story because I'm pretty sure antidepressant played a big role in the breakup and it seems that i'm not the only one, you can find multiples thread on the subjects.

In july 2025, my girlfriend was depressed (mainly because of things that were happening in my life) and she was not doing good.

She started taking sertraline and her way to act changed. She became colder, more indifferent, less caring.

This situation only went worse from July to November, and end of November she dumped me.

She said she was not sure anymore of her feelings even tho we were together since 5 years and planned to live together this year.

I have taken myself antidepressant during 2 years and it legits anesthesied what I was feeling, no pain, no happiness, only void.

I'm now sure that it played a huge role but I'm not sure of the % of it. What's sure, is that she confirmed me that she was feeling this emptiness.

I wonder if once withdrawed, some feelings will come back to her, it was 6 months ago.
