Trying to search a roommate

Roommate Searching (valid until May 15th, 2026)

Hi reddit friends. I’m looking for a roommate to sign the renewal lease with me (July1st 2026 to June 30th 2027). I'm a PhD candidate in Chemistry and will graduate in the upcoming fall semester (anticipate leaving UT around December 2026), but I will find someone to take over my remaining lease. You can move in as soon as July 1st.

I work 9-6 ish M-F, 10-3 ish for weekends. In free time, I chill with my cats and watch TV. I meal prep sometimes. I vacuum the common area three times per week. I also play some games occasionally. I enjoy working on my truck.

Address and room setup: The location is 2749 Sullins St. It’s a 2b2b setup. Both room equips full bathroom.

Location: Very close to campus, no driving needed. There are three KAT lines available to access the campus.

Equipment: Kitchen has microwave, electric stove and oven, and good size fridge/freezer. We have a dishwasher, washer, and dryer in the unit; we also have some more powerful washers and dryers in the basement.

Rent and fees: The current rent is $1489 (parking included, one parking spot for you), internet $65, utility $100-180, depending on the weather.

Pets: I have two cats living with me. They are non-spicy breeds(Balinese and Siamese) very playful, and extremely friendly. I also have two musk turtles, one baby and one adult. They are chill and interactable (food-related). You can bring kitty to this place, but they have to be neutered, vaccinated, and indoor only.

I am hoping that you have a stable income that can cover your bills and rent. Cat-ok. Non-smoker (e-cig, 🍃, cig are only allowed in the balcony). Good communicator.
