I'm sure you all remember the year when dynamite by bts was nominated along side rain on me by Ariana Grande and lady gaga? And obviously rain on me won.

Armpits went insane then and you'd think they would have moved on by now, but no. They are still where we left them the last time. They have sabotaged the various subreddits (I'm not sure if I am allowed to specify which) and constantly make posts about why the new bts album is the best thing and should win AOTY.

The cognitive dissonance in the fandom regarding the Grammys has reached a point where it’s actually exhausting to watch. Every award season, the narrative flips like a switch. When the nominations are announced, it’s all about “prestige,” “validation,” and “making history,” with fans obsessively tracking every prediction and voting trend. But the second the loss happens, the script immediately changes to “the Grammys are a dying, racist institution that BTS is too good for them". As if Bts isn't racist. You can’t claim an award is a meaningless, dusty relic while simultaneously losing your mind because your faves didn’t get one. If the Grammys are truly as irrelevant and "clout-chasing" as everyone claims, then losing shouldn’t matter. It feels like a massive coping mechanism trashing the "prize" only after you realize you didn't win it. The "you can't fire me if I quit!!😡" energy, and the constant back-and-forth between "BTS doesn't need Western validation" and "Why won't the West validate BTS?"

Also the narrative army's tend to use to defend themselves and bts i.e the Grammy's use bts for validation or views or whatever is statistically not true and has been proven and armpits just outright deny it.

Lots of good artist don't win the Grammys or the Oscars and that isn't a measure for being a good singer, actor or director etc. Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry, and even lana Del Rey with 11 nominations and 0 wins. Jake Gyllenhaal 1 nomination (Brokeback Mountain) and 0 wins. His most famous "snub" was for Nightcrawler (2014) and Samuel L Jackson etc. All these people haven't won a Grammy or an Oscar respectively yet they are phenomenal artists.

We never see this level of outrage or emotional breakdown when any other artist lose, why are armpits the common denominator in all of the situations?

Bts is highly unlikely to win a Grammy, especially at this point in their carrier. "ARIRANG" Is objectively ass and lacks authenticity. They had a legitimate chance with dynamite back when they were decently popular and they didn't win then.

Also the infantalization of grown men is disgusting. "Our poor mochi☹️😔" And it's a man almost hitting thirty, be fckin fr.

The Armpit/Grammy Paradox: Is it a "Scammy" or the Holy Grail? Pick a side
