Phone stuck in boot-up loop?

Hello! I've had a moto g pure for about 4 years now. 5 days ago it fell a short distance from my car's passenger door onto the grass face down (couldn't have been more than a foot and a half from the ground).

The screen wasn't cracked so I worried but, when I got inside to use it I saw it was turned off. I assumed the fall had just glitched it or something so I turned it back on. It sat on the "powered by android" screen for a longer time than it usually does but, again, my phone is pretty old so I wasn't too concerned.

It did turn on and i got to my password screen, and then it turned off. That's when it started looping the intro screen over and over again. I scrolled thru a few reddit threads and yt vids for a solution. Basically every source said to just reset the thing, but when I pulled up the screen to do so it would restart the loop before I could get to the second step.

just today I plugged it in after letting it sit for a few days (about 3 or 4?) and to my surprise I was able to turn it on! it ran slow as hell and I got lots of pop-ups saying that my settings or apps aren't loading. I could press "Wait" and keep on with what i was doing, but when i clicked "Close app" it turned off and started looping again.

Then it started up again after sitting for a few minutes on the loop and i was able to use it again. but as I was switching apps onto my sd card in case I needed to wipe the phone it turned off halfway.

I'm assuming i just need to wipe the thing (if it ever turns back on lol), but if anyone knows anything else that could be the matter I'd love some insight!
