Advice needed - Mid Michigan
Moved into this house about 5 years ago. The area is full of 100 year old houses some very well maintained properties and some not. Been a constant battle with weeds as neighbors don't really take care of anything. However finally seem to have the weeds and crabgrass under control and now hoping to start filling in the patchy areas. I've been trying for the last year or so with overseeding/lawnfood and just straight seed and dirt in the patchy areas. No lucky. Im starting to think it might be a soil issue and just nothing can grow.
When I would water these areas (light watering too) the water seems to pool and take some time to get absorbed into the ground. So thinking ned to do some serious aeration this year and maybe some other stuff? What does chat think on next steps. Picture below of one area but its patchy all over. TYIA
