Syringe/needle question

I read somewhere along the way that a little deeper subcutaneous injection had a higher efficacy than a more shallow injection.

The syringes sent by the pharmacies have very short needles. Has anyone purchased the little bit longer insulin syringes and found the efficacy of the meds to be better?
