Experience so far with Huawei freebuds pro 3 and 4
I own both 3rd and 4th gen products, and the reason I bought them again was due to:
- best call quality. I take several work calls in cafes with loud background/ music, people chatting, and this one has been a boon.
- Pretty good sound profile and ANC.
But shitty parts: and very shitty at it was:
-
The connectivity: the multi device handover is so so bad, I can't guarantee which device it will connect to. Sometimes I have a video running on lapotp and I oopen case to connect them, it connects to my phone.
It also struggels to connect to phone if it is once connected to my mac (I saw in Huawei app that it still shows that Mac is emitting some sound, but this wasn't a problem for ANZ100)
Biggest issue: It gets unsynced every now and then, i.e. one bud doesn't connect to another bud. Like ten minutes ago, I could hear a connection chime on each bud when putting them in ear, but I could only hear the music in the left one. And this has happened before.
I have tried all the things like putting them both in the case and wait, tapping the `connect` button thrice to sync them, but ultimately I have to hard reset them each time to make them work.
It is such a pain when I have a work call I have to jump in quickly and these don't connect. Sometimes their mic doesn't show up either, so while I can hear their voice in my ears, other side can hear all the background noises, which is very embarrasing if they don't tell me and I only got to know this once the call was over and one of them was kind enough to tell me.
So overall: great call + Sound + ANC, but such poor software. (And haven't received any update since first six months had passed after I bought them.
