Best way into Tokyo’s JDM scene?

Hey everyone,

I’m going to Tokyo from August 11–16. I know there are probably a million posts like this already, but I wanted to ask if anyone knows about any car-related events happening around that time.

I’m really into JDM culture, underground meets, weird/crazy builds, tuned cars, late-night parking lot gatherings, that kind of stuff. I’d love to experience the real car scene while I’m there.

Right now the only thing I really know about is checking out Daikoku PA on Saturday nights, but that’s basically the extent of my knowledge so far.

How do people usually find these events/meets in Japan?
Are there specific Instagram accounts, Discords, forums, apps, or hashtags locals use?
What are the best spots around Tokyo/Yokohama besides Daikoku?
And what’s the best way to actually meet people who are into the scene and maybe join them for a night?
