What does everyone think about homestead horsemanship? byb or no?

I am not subscribed to them. I watched a while back when they fundraised the money to purchase a Clydesdale from slaughter. They couldn’t afford his slaughter price. They fundraised from viewers in order to purchase him off the slaughter truck at a later date. This was confusing for me. How could they not afford to purchase his low slaughter price but had enough money to properly care for him? Anyway, they were on my feed today so I watched. Now they’ve purchased another Clydesdale and have bred the kill pen stud to her, more than once according to the viewers. They also allowed a mare to carry twins to term, please CMV

I’m hoping I’m just being an uninformed asshole. Isn’t this backyard breeding? Someone please change my view, I hope I’m just really really out of the loop here.
