Am I hallucinating, or did Spotify quietly remove "liked songs per artist" from CarPlay?
Ok so I've been on the phone (well, on chat) with Spotify support since 11am and I'm starting to genuinely question my own reality. Please someone tell me I'm not making this up.
For YEARS, here's what I did every single time I got in my car:
- Open Spotify via CarPlay
- Go to **Library > Artists**
- Pick an artist
- Boom → my **liked songs from that artist** show up, ready to play
It was glorious. It was simple. It was, dare I say, *the* feature that justified my premium subscription during traffic jams.
And now? Gone. Poof. I pick an artist on CarPlay and it just shows me their discography like I'm some kind of casual. My global Liked Songs playlist still works fine, but the per-artist filter on CarPlay? Vanished.
So I contact Spotify support, fully expecting a "yes we know, sorry, working on it" — and instead they look at me like I just described a feature from a fever dream. "What feature? Can you send a screenshot?" My brother in Christ, I'm DRIVING, I cannot screenshot CarPlay while merging onto the highway.
After several hours of going in circles, I'm now seriously wondering:
- Did this feature actually exist? (I'm 99% sure yes, I used it literally hundreds of times)
- Did they silently remove it in a recent update?
- Am I the only one experiencing this?
- Should I be worried about my long-term memory?
Please, fellow CarPlay Spotify users, check your app and tell me:
- Can you still see your liked songs filtered by artist in **Library > Artists > [artist name]** on CarPlay?
- Or are we collectively gaslit?
I just want to listen to my curated 47 liked Ice Nine Kills tracks on my commute without having to scroll through every album they ever released. Is that too much to ask in 2026?

Dare I say that my Firmware in my vehicule is up-to-date, so is Spotify and my iPhone 13...
