does anybody use tret solely for anti-aging purposes?

i dont have acne or hyperpigmation, and i see a lot of stuff online about retinol being the better alternative if you **just** want anti-aging benefits. however, the results from tret look faster and more noticeable.

also, are there any precautions i should take if i have dry skin?
