You should quit your job before having another lined up

I’ve done this many times, and honestly find it motivates me more than applying while still employed. When you still have a job you get comfortable and don’t put as much effort in cause there is not the same sense of urgency. I left my last job not long ago while I was still in school and living on pay to pay. Right when I left and got serious about applying I got my current job which is the best job I’ve ever had.

Before that I had been applying while still at my old job but just don’t take it super serious cause I still had a job to go to that paid me enough to manage. I understand the risk but I also think it’s hard to really hard to push yourself to do somthing you don’t need to.
