NovaRed Mining (CSE: NRED / OTCQB: NREDF) is an early-stage copper-gold explorer advancing the Wilmac Copper-Gold Project in British Columbia, Canada.

Wilmac fits into the AI-copper theme because AI infrastructure keeps increasing demand for electrical buildouts, and copper sits in nearly every layer of that system. The project covers about 16,078 hectares, or roughly 160 square kilometers, equal to about 39,732 acres, 30,000 American football fields, or about 2.7x the size of Manhattan.

The project is located in British Columbia’s Quesnel porphyry belt, roughly 10 km west of Hudbay’s operating Copper Mountain Mine. That proximity provides regional geological context given Copper Mountain is a producing copper-gold mine in the same belt.

The latest North Lamont data adds a near-term technical focus. NovaRed reported 43 soil samples with copper values up to 379 ppm Cu. A western cluster returned nine samples above 150 ppm Cu, averaging 209 ppm Cu. The dataset also shows moderate-to-high Sr/Y fertility signatures, moderate V/Sc oxidation indicators, and spatial alignment with a magnetic anomaly.

The next step is the planned North Lamont IP/AMT survey, authorized under “No Permit Required” status. If the geophysics outlines chargeability or resistivity features that align with the soil geochemistry and magnetic response, North Lamont could move higher in the drill targeting sequence.

NovaRed is still speculative. There is no producing mine, no defined resource, and no revenue. Soil geochemistry and geophysics are early-stage exploration tools, not drill results. But in a market shaped by rising AI-driven copper demand and long mine development timelines, district-scale copper-gold exploration in established BC belts continues to attract attention.
