Need advice on a S.H. Figuarts 2B custom/body swap after broken wrist joint

Hey everyone,

My 2B recently suffered the classic broken wrist/hand joint issue, and I’ve been trying to decide what to do with her.

At first I considered buying another figure just for replacement parts, but the aftermarket prices are honestly pretty rough right now. That got me thinking that maybe going the custom route would make more sense instead.

The thing is, I’m completely new to figure customization/modding, so I’m still trying to understand what options are realistic for a beginner.

Right now I’m mainly looking into:

  • compatible body swap options
  • better articulated bodies
  • matching skin tones
  • minimal neck/head modification if possible

The biggest issue I’m running into right now is the neck/head connection size.

Since she’s basically S.H.Figuarts scale but has a smaller body and smaller joints/pegs than a lot of standard bodies, I’m having trouble figuring out what body would actually fit her neck properly.

I’ve seen a bunch of body options people use for customs, but as a beginner I honestly don’t know.

I also started searching for replacement clothing or soft goods that match 2B’s original outfit, but I haven’t had much luck finding:

  • accurate dresses/outfits
  • custom clothing makers
  • or clothes that properly fit commonly used custom bodies

At this point, if I can’t find something close to her original outfit, I’m honestly open to going for a more unique/custom look instead. Might actually end up being cooler that way.

Honestly, even if the custom route ends up costing a bit more, I’d rather invest in a setup with better articulation and durability than buy the exact same figure again because of one broken joint.

I’d really appreciate the help.

Thanks!
