X9 ultra on ATT

I got the phone yesterday and using it on ATT proper. I keep hearing about how global phones don't work on certain carriers. Voice, text, and data seems to work, not sure if it's at peak speed though.

Is this just false hope or is ATT going to snatch away my dreams of using this phone in a few days?
