First signs?

So I don’t have an official diagnosis yet, I have to meet with the rheumatologist, but initial tests came back positive for necrotizing myosytis after Ihad gone to the doctor about a rash around my eyes. (I have a cousin with dermatomyositis and one of my parents has an auto immune condition so they ran a bunch of tests)

The doctor seemed like it was strange that I was not experiencing muscle weakness. I definitely have muscle pain, but generally no trouble standing up.

I do work out a lot, including lifting weights so I am not sure if that would stave off muscle weakness for a little longer than most? What was everyones first symptoms? Did they happen suddenly or slowly?
