Help with CGMs
So, less than a year ago I finally managed to obtain an insulin pump. Not gonna get into the whys and whatnot, but it has been an absolutely life-changing experience.
However, as a lean person, I found it hard to keep the CGM functioning. Applying it to my arms is difficult since they are thin, and even the slightest movement during sleep causes the sensor to malfunction (tried this with both Dexcom G6 and freestyle libre 3 & 2). Applying it on my abdomen works fine but the area got messed up and irritated after a while, and so I moved to the thighs, which has been mixed. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it just doesn't, which consequentially affects the pump.
This is all after less than a year. I know that some of you have been doing this for years and years now, so I was wondering how to navigate this whole situation. Again, I won't deny the massive physical and psychological improvements I have had since I got this whole setup running, but going on about your day with completely inaccurate readings and missing signals also worries me
Thanks in advance!
