How do I know I am running a recovery pace?
Hi, I am following nike run club's 10k program. It has 3 recovery runs and 1-1 long and fast run per week. In first few weeks, I ran the recovery run like any other run but now I am trying to slow down.
My strategy is usually these:
-
No mouth breathing. If I am mouth breathing I slow down until I recover to normal nasal breathing,
-
I try following a negative split so as to not gas out early on,
-
I tune in a podcast and try to concentrate on it. If I start focusing on the run to much, I slow down to focus on podcast.
Yet, I am not sure if I am doing the correct pace. I sometimes feel like I am going too fast and other times I feel like I am too slow.
So, any tips?
