1-page or 2-page CV for a Master’s graduate in Germany?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently finishing my Master’s in Embedded Systems in Germany and will graduate in around 2 months. I’m applying for full-time roles in embedded/validation/test engineering and had a question regarding CV length in Germany.
My experience currently includes:
* 2 working student roles spanning around 9 months, with one still ongoing for the last 6 months
* 6 months internship
* Master’s thesis from university
* 1 year full-time experience before starting my Master’s
* Multiple academic and personal projects from Bachelor’s and Master’s
Usually I hear people say:
“If you have less than 10 years of experience or are a recent graduate, your CV should always be 1 page.”
How true is this in Germany, especially for engineering/embedded/automotive roles?
If I keep it to 1 page, I feel like I have to remove useful technical details or make everything too compressed.
Would love to hear experiences or tips from recruiters, hiring managers, or people who recently graduated in Germany.
