Are new resonant heads necessary?

Wanting to replace my 10 year old heads after starting to really play about a year and a half ago. Have my first show in 2 months and I've been wondering if I should just focus on getting new batter heads, as we are being kinda stretched thin considering we are a new band thats having to buy a lot of stuff for the first time
