NIOS Maths + IPM Eligibility — am I overthinking or is this actually messy?

Admission Query

Alright, I need some clarity before I spiral further.

i'm done w ts year only waiting for cbse results to come out! then getting ready for a gap year

I'll be applying to IIM Shillong (IPM), IIM Amritsar (IPM), and IIM Bangalore (BSc) — and here’s the situation:

  • I did my Class 12th from CBSE, but without Maths
  • Now I’m planning to do Maths separately via NIOS

Main confusion:

  1. Do these programs even accept NIOS Maths as valid for eligibility? Like, will they treat it as “you have studied Maths in 12th” or just ignore it because it’s from a different board or a gimmick or something?
  2. Application form problem: Most forms have only ONE slot for marksheet upload So… what am I supposed to do here? Merge both? Upload CBSE and pray they don’t notice? Or is there some “enter marks manually and justify later” type workaround?
    • My CBSE marksheet = all subjects except Maths
    • NIOS marksheet = only Maths (separate document)
  3. Do I need to redo all 5 subjects via NIOS just to have everything on one marksheet? (Because honestly, that sounds like unnecessary pain unless it’s absolutely required)

If anyone has:

  • actually done this (NIOS Maths route), or
  • knows someone who got into these programs with this combo

please drop the reality check.

Right now it feels like I’m stuck between “this is totally acceptable” and “you just made your life complicated for no reason.”

Any clarity would help before I go ahead and commit to NIOS.

Thanks 🙏

and yeah i've made ts post with cgpt

tl:dr : what's up with the nios maths certificate scene with iim shillong, amritsar, blr
