What if the Axis lost WW2?

Everything goes the same as historical, but this changes :

Here it is.

What if the AXIS lost WW2 (alternative timeline) ? :

1st of January 1952 :

After the final battle of WW2, the Battle of Germania (1946) the AXIS finally surrendered, splitting up Europe into 2 parts, a ”RED” part , Eastern Europe , and a “BLUE” part , Western Europe.

GERMANY:

After WW2, most of Europe got fragmented, in particular Germany. Germany, the country that fought all of its neighbors and won, was too strong to be left united under a single banner, and the Allies decided to split Europe in half.

The allies unique plan to divide Europe (signed in the 11th of November 1946) after the end of the war (the 28th of April 1946) , is the Treaty of Nuremberg :

\- Northern German Confederation (NGC): The Northern German Confederation, is a Confederal Constitutional Monarchy (that is aligned with the US and the CFN ) . It's also the founder of the Mitte European Union (MEU) , “united” to help each other and to pay war reparations (10 billion) in 10 years (currently 6 years) to the USA and UK.

The NGC controls most of Northern Germany, precisely its composed by :

Frankfurt (capital) , Bremen, Hannover, Bielefeld, Münster, Dortmund, Kassel, Magdeburg, Halle, Erfurt, Hamburg, Leipzig.

The Rhineland is controlled by the Western Allies (France (that also annexed the Saarland until 1952, where it will go back to the Rhineland) , UK, USA) and is an "International State", it will be occupied until 1954 and forced NOT to unite with Germany. The allies will have resource rights in exchange to not let Germany pay war reparations. The Rhineland is a Semi-Sovereign Parliamentary Republic, having a parliament and the "Bundestag" in Cologne (the capital) . Mostly controlled government by the French and in particular by the Northern German Confederation , paying reparations to the allies. Having a maximum of 4 political parties and 75k native men in the army (most of the occupiers and the army in general is composed by United Nations members).

\- People's Democratic of Prussia (PDP):

Occupied by the Soviets at the end of the war, the PDP was established the 1st of January 1948, just some months in the aftermath of the Treaty of Nuremberg. The PDP is a People's Democratic Republic (practically a Socialist State that tries to maintain some traditions (particularly Prussian ones) with a socialist economy with Prussian characteristics) , mostly controlled and particularly aligned with the Soviet Union , now called Eurasia.

The territories it controls are precisely:

Lübeck, Schwerin, Rostock, Neubrandenburg, Potsdam, Dresden, Berlin (all of It + being demilitarized, still the Capital), Cottbus, Szczecin, Gorzów, Zielona Góra, Legnica, Słupsk, Koszalin and Konigsberg.

A port in Konisberg is forced to be part of the Baltic Soviet Republic (there are no more Lithuan, Latvian and Estonian SR's, now only Baltic) to maintain more control in the Baltic Sea . Silesia and the Southern of East Prussia and some (really small) Pomeranian borders adjustments will be given to the Polish People's Republic. Kiel is also fully given and annexed by Denmark. The PDG is forced to have a max of 175k men in the army.

The Reichstag is also burned to the ground by the People's Democratic Republic.

\- South German Republic (SGR) :

The South German Republic, a country that is a Federal Parliamentary Republic under US protection. The SGR consists of:

Baden, Wuttenburg, Bavaria, South Tyrol and West of Osterreich (West of Austria (Western Allied Austrian Occupied Territories) ). It's not allowed to join the NGC or to unite Germany in general (at least for now) without allied consent. It has a growing fast economy thanks to its big neutral alignment in Europe in general and thanks to its raw resources.

The Rhineland, the Northern German Confederation, the South German Republic , Switzerland (observer) and Liechtenstein all joined into one single economical, confederational (quasi-political) union (called "Mitte European Union (MEU)”) , with its little parliament in Frankfurt. Creating a strong economical union, not PRO-CFN (independent from it), pretty neutralized and composed only of the countries I mentioned before. The MEU will have free trade of goods and limited labor mobility between its members.

USA:

The United States of America, stronghold of “democracy, liberty and capitalism”, suffering the least and getting the most in the World War. They got all of western Europe on their part, all allied into the Coalition of Free Nations (CFN) , that is composed by : USA, UK, Canada, France, Kingdom of Italy, Benelux, NGC, SGR, the Rhineland, Portugal, Denmark, Norway, (economically, technologically and almost politically) Kingdom of Sweden.

Starting the Marshall Plan in 1947, trying to rebuild most of Europe, America has invested 20 billion dollars to Western European Countries (the USSR kind of did the same thing but only gave 6 billion to the Eastern Socialist European Countries, gambling its economy). The US also annexed Greenland, Tsingtao and they have much more influence in Japan and Canada in particular , annexing New Brunswick and Nova Scotia island .

REST OF AMERICAS :

The end of the Second World War initiated a really strong and steady Nazi - Fascist immigration to the Americas (Central and South America in particular) that lasted from 1944 till 1947, and about ≈157.000 fled . Many of these Nazis fled disguised , and they are now forming new movements , to restore an Anti US and Anti Soviet policy and to go back to their homelands.

In 1947 Nicaragua entered a period of growing instability. In 1948–1949, widespread unrest had emerged. Workers in Managua, León, and Chinandega organized massive strikes that quickly evolved beyond economic demands. Calls for higher wages turned into demands for full workers’ control of industry, land redistribution, and the complete removal of foreign influence from the national economy. As protests escalated, parts of the military began to defect, joining the growing revolutionary movement. The 17th of March 1950, a coalition of syndicalist militias, trade unions, and defecting army units marched into Managua, overthrowing the government . Now Nicaragua is heavily funded by Eurasia .

EUROPE:

After World War Two found itself split between East and West, one side being Capitalist and the other Socialist/Communist/Leftist . Let's look deeper in the parts of europe:

\- Western Europe :

After the French fell to the Germans in 1940 , it seemed like it was going to be the start of a New Order , but the allies managed to win the Second World War by pure luck thanks to the American Eagle and the Russian Bear , starting the rise of new tensions between the two new super powers.

France : it got more land getting the Saarland, Indochina (integrating Siam in French Indochina, now also known as "French East Asia" creating a strong economically and militarily but weak internal dominion) , West Libya , exploiting its resources for French Oil Companies , and Mosul , because of the Iraqi occupation between the Great Powers (UK , France , and Eurasia) in the aftermath of the war.

UK : It got the East of Libya , giving simultaneously to the local Libyan Government, creating Senusyya once again . The British also gained some parts of Italian Somalia (South and Bosaso), while Ethiopia got Central Somalia and Eritrea .

In the center of Africa the "Dominion de l'Afrique Centrale (Dominion of Central Africa) (DAC) " a Central African New state now exists with its economy depending from U.N and allied loans (The allies decided to create this nation to give the Africans some experience at governing themselves at least), the DAC controls these territories: Central African Republic, Cameroon (German Controlled Cameroon borders), Gabon, Republic of the Congo, and Equatorial Guinea (occupied by the Allies in the war).

The UN is organizing to make the African Nations independent (probably in 1953).

Italy: Italy is transformed into a Constitutional Federal (a mist of the German Empire and modern day Japan) Monarchy, they lost their colonies, South Tyrol and Trieste and stability is collapsing because of partisans not being satisfied by the federal government, violence in the streets are becoming more and more common ,but the government is trying its best to develop the Italian economy and military , but it’s still mostly failing .

Iberia: Spain is still recovering from the civil war, and Portugal is still the same practically as our OTL , but Iberia is starting to talk about a Unification Program to integrate their economies and to be independent from foreign trade .

Benelux ( Lubenet ) : Be lgium, Ne therlands, and Lux embourg are fully united as per the Treaty of London that after the restoration of the Governments the countries will unite into one single unitary kingdom called: " The United Kingdom of Benelux ( Lubenet )".

Nordics : Norway was harassed by the German and Soviet forces in WW2, and even though Germany lost... Norway also lost, losing Vadso and Alta to the Finnish Soviet Republic (a puppet of the Soviet Union), so to reinforce the country they joined the Coalition of Free Nations (CFN) in 1948.Sweden is almost neutral about joining the CFN, only joining economically and technologically just because of the fear of a Soviet invasion in the north. Finland got absorbed into the Soviet Union, as it was forced to be a puppet of them (a Soviet Socialist Republic) , they still got a little autonomy from them. The red flag flies in Helsinki.

\- Eastern Europe :

Poland, as I said before, gained only the southern of East Prussia region, and Silesia. It also controls : Lviv, Drohobych, but still lost Suwalki and Bialystok from the Soviets. Czechoslovakia is the same practically, just being a little bigger in the Carpatho-Ukrainian region. East Osterreich (East Austria) is established in the Treaty of Nuremberg, being a Syndicalist Republic (being the first in the world to be so), East Austria controls Vienna, Krems an der Donau, Graz, Sankt Polten, and lost Burgenland to the Hungarian Council Republic. Yugoslavia remains under Tito and manages to unite with Bulgaria and splitting Albania (north controlled from Yugoslavia and the South being controlled by Greece). Yugoslavia is Democratic Socialist Republic, aligned with the USSR and starting to unite even more internally.

All of the Eastern Leftists State with the exception of Eurasia , formed their own big own military and economic union “Ost-Pakt (OPK)” with its headquarters in Berlin (PDP)

Trieste is a free “democratic” state, neutral and protected by both the CFN and EURASIA , its population is composed by Cossacks (from Kosakenland) and Chetniks , Romania is literally the same as OTL, just didn't lose the province of Hertsa.

Greece remains a constitutional monarchy with a thriving economy and with just little instability ! Being actually one of the strongest and most influential countries in the Balkans, being a beacon of Freedom and Democrazia. But the Greek Army has other ideas for the state.

EURASIA (The Soviet Union):

The Union of Eurasian Soviet Republics, a country that survived the thunder of WW2, defeated Germany and gained a lot, like influence in Eastern Europe, but not only that, it also gained :

Northern Persia, establishing a Soviet Republic there (the Northern Persian SR also gains Erbil, Kirkuk, Tikrit, Sulaymaniyah (Iraqi provinces) the south is under the control of the allies that have established a friendly regime under the Persian Shah. The USSR also annexed and occupied some little islands in Japan, like Hokkaido, while the rest of mainland Japan is occupied by the Allies. Taiwan / Formosa is occupied by the Chinese National Government, becoming the Republic of Formosa while Korea is fully occupied by the Soviets forming the Democratic Republic of Korea (that's syndicalist), the Soviets also occupied Northern China, like Manchuria, Shaanxi, Ma clique and Xinjiang Clique forming the East Chinese Soviet Republic (Manchuria), and the Socialist Reclamation Chinese Government ( the rest of China). While the rest of China is under the Nationalists.

EURASIA is in an alliance, called: Union of Eurasian Republics: USSR (Eurasia), Poland, Finland, Romania, Hungary, East Germany, East Austria, Yugoslavia, Chinas, Czechoslovakia, and North Persia. Uniting all these countries economically and militarily.

REST OF ASIA :

Japan :

The collapse and surrender of the Japanese Empire on the 24th of September 1946, signed by the American Invasion of mainland Japan ended up with its division and of its colonies .

The treaty to split up Japan (Treaty of Washington) stated that:

All of mainland Japan was occupied by America until the release of the newly formed “Japanese Republic” , with the Emperor executed as a war criminal in 1947 .

Now , Japan is a beacon of instability and unrest , soldiers of America (about 100.000 men) , till the end of instability still remain there to maintain at least some form of “stability” .

But still Japan is technically an independent state .

Eurasia will gain Hokkaido .
