What routine or mission to prioritize to become a true space pirate?

I finished my first game shortly after 130 hours of play, I was nice and helped as many people as possible on that first run.

When I passed the unit, I decided to become a real pirate, so I went on a quest for Commander Ikande and followed Delgado so I'm officially a real pirate now...

But how to live like a pirate?? Are there any quests to do that go in this direction or activities reserved for pirates other than those on the Key mission board? For the moment, apart from ruining myself every time I return to New Atlantis given the carnage I am sowing everywhere, I don't really see any impact on my game...

Any advice?
