Need advice: Buying Galaxy S25+ on Flipkart. How do I ensure I don't get scammed?

While the deal looks great, I've read quite a few horror stories online about people receiving used devices which is pre activated.

Since this is first time buying a phone online and its a huge amount of money for me, I am feeling a bit paranoid.

​I want to make sure I take every possible precaution.

Could you guys guide me on how to do this safely?

•​Open Box Delivery: What exactly should I check before giving the OTP to the delivery guy?

•​Unboxing Precautions: Aside from taking a continuous video while opening the package what should I do. Yes I will first check the device warranty and IMEI on website that's it not pre activated

•​Payment Methods: Is it safer to do online payment or Cash on Delivery if available?

•​Common Scams: Are there any new delivery or replacement scams I should be aware of right now

☆Doubt: 1.If i get little damaged phone can I reject the order after opening the phone box?

2.Because I am thinking to go by cod will the delivery guy will let the box get open without paying the cash first?

I am not getting this phone elsewhere that's why I am going with flipkart. Flipkart moderator rejected the post that's why I am posting here sorry.
