Question for teachers: What’s the grim reality of teaching in NC?

My sister is moving from AZ to NC and is an elementary school teacher. She landed a job at a public school in Charlotte. What should she know before accepting the position and moving to NC? She is aware of the no pay increase for masters degrees and 10 months pay. Anything else she should know? Thank you for any insight 🙌🏼
