Torque valve cover with rtv?

I was replacing my valve cover gasket on my 1990 miata. I got a nee gasket and many als suggested i put a bit of rtv on the corners to help it seal better. I used ultra grey permatex. It recommended to torque screws after about 1 hour.

I set a timer and went to take a nap. I ended up waking back up 6 hours later and torqued it down cuz i forgot. Is it fine or should i remove, scrap off, and re apply?
