Snowboard Sizing. Is 148 too long?

I am a 5’4 125-130lb female. I learned to snowboard this past season and I’m looking for a board and I want to make sure that I’m not going to hinder my abilities with the wrong length. I also would not consider myself a beginner, maybe on the low or mid level intermediate. I’ve been able to do black diamonds before.

I learned on a 146cm board, but I always felt my feet were slightly too close together. My last time I went for the season my feet were further apart but I’m not sure if that’s just because the rentals have slightly different distances with bindings (I was on the same board the majority of my lessons) or if I was given a longer board.

I also would consider myself a speed demon and I read somewhere that longer boards are good for people who like to go fast.

So I’m wondering if a 148cm board is too long because I think with me liking my feet further apart, slightly longer may be better. But again I don’t want to invest in a board that may be too difficult to steer.

Thoughts?
