Make Buildings Great Again?

Not gonna act like I understand the economy as much as Generalist or the Vicky 3 nerds (love you guys tho). However I feel like as soon as I get the hang of it, the system made buildings garbage and made RGOs slightly better making economy building a lot harder. Trade seems a lot easier to manage but harder to get started due to the economy lag in the start of the game.

The reason for the "?" Is because I don't understand the economy enough to know if this is a net negative or positive for the game as a whole, I only played Japan, byz, and Milan so far.

Any tips or discussion would be great! Or possibly explaining how to make the best out of these changes as well!
