Changed how I take Meds

So I read that some take their hydroxychloraquin dosage all at once. I had been taking 1 pill in the morning and the other half pill at night. For a few days I took it all together in the am. Last night I woke up with excruciating pain in my right hand. Finally took a Tylenol and got an ice pack. That did help. But I wonder if it could be a frozen entree from Trader Joe’s that I ate for dinner or is it more likely the change in med schedule. Thanks for any insight.
