Hostel rooms slowly become a reflection of mental state and nobody talks about it

Freshers move in with framed photos, organized desks, matching bedsheets and like 3 different notebooks for “productivity”.

Then few months later the same room has one hoodie hanging from the fan, random wires everywhere, one emotional support bucket and a chair that exists only to store clothes.

I went into my friend’s room yesterday and bro had one spoon, no pillow cover, some half-drank water bottles and somehow 4 deodorants (probably from others rooms, lol)
