Why do we feel better than usual after doing exercise when you don’t feel like?

The main reason is because our system activates different mechanisms: endorphins, dopamine and serotonin, so this decreases our level of stress, especially the aerobics excersices like running, walking and cycling. This mix of chemicals caused by positive stress elevates your mood and acts in our brain as the idea of “good job”. Another positive aspect of it is that create new neuronal connections really usefull for learning, memory and mental health.

On the other hand, it is interesting that when we don’t feel like excersing and feel low on energy is because our brain tries to save energy for surviving and doesn’t waste effort.

How can you motivate your brain for it?

1- A small action: anything that guides you to excersices. Ex: Get dressed in your workout clothes.

2- Active your body: listen to music to elevate your mood.

3- Set yourself a small goal: Train 20 minutes, trick your brain.

4- Change I HAVE for I WANT: All the things you want give you energy for do it.
