Mary Remake Boss Fight

I've been wondering, why in the remake Mary's (and Flesh Lips) second form uses the bedframe as a spider-like legs, instead of something that recalls moths ?

AFAIK There's no symbolism associated to the spider in the lore of SH2, while the moth can be considered one of the key symbols for Mary/Maria.
