I built a free browser-based toolkit that processes files locally
I got tired of using online tools that require uploading files to random servers, especially for PDFs, images, and developer utilities.
So I built ArmyTool:
Everything runs directly in the browser:
- image converters
- PDF utilities
- JSON/base64 tools
- text utilities
- audio tools
Main goal:
- no uploads
- local processing
- privacy-focused
- fast/simple UI
A lot of tools use browser APIs + client-side processing instead of sending files to a backend.
Would love feedback on:
- missing tools
- UX improvements
- performance
- features developers actually want
Also curious:
What’s the one online utility you use constantly but still hate the UX for?
