AXG receiver pin question

I bought an AXG grip second hand, and it was just the grip, straight up. After some research, it appears the receiver pin that holds the FCU in place is different for the AXG, and it comes with a longer one when buying it new. I just have the one that came in my original 365. Anyone know if it is safe to just go with the pin i have, or do i need to buy one that is for the AXG. if so, where in the world do i get it?
