Lenovo Legion 5: internal screen died twice while using the GPU, warranty won’t cover it after 3 months, and now I need blind BIOS help + 64GB RAM

I’m desperate. As the title says: I need help from someone who has a Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H, or a similar BIOS, because I’m literally navigating the laptop BIOS “blind,” and the only way I can boot into Windows is with an external monitor. I’ve already searched the internet to death, and I haven’t found any way to make my BIOS display on the external monitor.

The worst part is that my Lenovo Legion 5 has already lost its internal screen twice, both times coincidentally while I was using the GPU for gaming. I don’t know if this is a hardware issue, heat, the panel, the eDP cable, the MUX, or some weird design flaw, but the internal screen died again. And because more than 3 months have passed, the warranty/repair policy won’t cover it anymore.

Yes, I know it was absurd to buy 64GB of RAM before fixing the screen first. You can roast me later because I used my chimpanzee brain and my money to prioritize more RAM over a new screen — a screen that I would probably use once just to modify the BIOS, and then it would die again while playing some random Steam game.

The point is that right now I can’t afford to replace the laptop or replace the screen, and my current issue is that the RAM I bought is showing as running at 1600 MHz in CPU-Z. I understand that because it’s DDR4, this probably means it is effectively running at 3200 MT/s, but I want to confirm whether there is anything I can enable in the BIOS: XMP, memory profile, advanced mode, etc.

The problem: I can enter the BIOS with F2, but from that point on I’m completely blind.

I need someone with the same model or a similar BIOS to give me the exact key sequence, for example:

F2 → Right → Right → Down → Enter → etc.

I’m looking for instructions for:

* how to open Advanced Mode, if it exists

* whether there is an XMP/Memory Profile option

* whether I need to enable/disable Hybrid Mode, dGPU Mode, UMA, Advanced Optimus, or anything related

* whether there is any option to force BIOS output through an external monitor

* how to exit safely, either saving changes or discarding them

Technical details:

The internal screen is completely black. It does not show the Lenovo logo, BIOS, backlight, or even a faint image when using a flashlight. In Windows, I can use an external monitor through HDMI, but when I enter BIOS I see nothing, because the laptop seems to be trying to use the dead internal screen. Windows Safe Mode also did not output anything to the external monitor.

My system, as far as I’ve been able to identify:

Model: Lenovo Legion 5 15ACH6H

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H

Dedicated GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU 8GB

iGPU: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics

Original RAM: 16GB DDR4-3200, 2x8GB SK hynix, 1Rx16, PC4-3200AA

New RAM: Kingston Fury Impact 64GB, 2x32GB, DDR4-3200, CL20, 1.2V, SO-DIMM, part number KF432S20IBK2/64

Detected motherboard: LENOVO LNVNB161216

Platform/socket: FP6

OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit

It would also help if someone can confirm whether this model has no real XMP option in BIOS, and whether 1600 MHz in CPU-Z already means the RAM is working correctly at DDR4-3200. I don’t want to change BIOS settings blindly if there is nothing to gain.

I’m trying to squeeze as much as I can out of this machine for small local LLMs and work. Any help would be massively appreciated.
