Finally got my friend to watch Naruto.... We watched Pain together last night....

[Major Spoilers!]

She refused to watch it for years because she was convinced it was a boy show. I sat her down and watched some episodes of early naruto which didn't work very well to convince her. I kept assuring her it was going to be the one of the best shows she has ever watched and that when she got to shippuden it was going to get crazy. At some point, the hook got set and she started watching it on her own.

Last night, we got together with some other friends to watch and we got to the episode where Pain invaded the leaf village. She was in shambles.... Tears flowing down her face and she couldn't even talk without choking on her words as Pain broke the village down. Then naruto showed up... Everyone went home when we finished up that episode and she was struggling to speak without crying as everyone hugged each other goodbye and walked out to their cars.

I don't know how to put into words how good it felt to watch her go through the same roller coaster of emotions I did when I first watched this arc. So glad I got to be there to witness someone experiencing the Pain invasion for the first time.
