What’s the reality of teaching in NC?

My sister is moving from AZ to NC and is an elementary school teacher. She landed a job at a public school in Charlotte. What should she know before accepting the position and moving to NC? She is aware of the no pay increase for masters degrees. Anything else she should know? Thank you for any insight 🙌🏼
