Qs on attending Mascots/Artists public events

Hi there! I hope to visit Thailand this year and I definitely want to attend a couple of the mascots and some of GMMTV artists public events like at the malls and such. Can those with experience share their experience and/or some tips about attending?

Like I noticed from fans video some people really get to get up close to them, especially the mascots, close enough to give them hugs and gifts. How much earlier in advance is recommend to arrive on the scene? What's the etiquette, do we save the spot and leaves then come back or do we remain there until event start?

Are there usually groups of fans that gather before the event? And how do events usually go? I've seen clip of their arrivals, but then also he evebt itself, and then when they leave? How do people figure out the spots they'll be in? I wanna know everything 😅😅
