Confused between IEMs, Gaming Headsets, and TWS for meetings — mic quality is my biggest priority now

I’ve been researching audio devices for the past few days and now I genuinely don’t know what to buy anymore 😅

At first I went deep into audiophile IEMs like:

  • Tangzu Wan’er / Red Lion
  • Twistura D-Minor
  • EPZ G20 Gaming IEMs (looked interesting but it’s also ~₹5.4k 🥲)

because I wanted:

  • good music quality
  • casual gaming
  • decent mic for meetings

But after a lot of research, I realized most IEM inline mics are basically an afterthought and not really designed for noisy environments or professional calls.

My actual use case is:

  • meetings on phone + laptop
  • noisy surroundings sometimes (fan, people talking, traffic)
  • casual gaming
  • music (Bollywood, rap, phonk, pop, etc.)
  • mobile-first usage

Then I looked into gaming headsets like:

  • HyperX Cloud Stinger 2
  • Razer BlackShark V2 X

and honestly the boom mic quality seems MUCH better for noise rejection, but they also feel bulky and impractical for daily mobile use and office calls.

So now I’ve mostly shifted toward TWS earbuds because they seem like the best middle ground:

  • wireless
  • compact
  • ANC + ENC
  • easier for meetings and travel
  • decent enough music quality

My current shortlist is:

  • CMF Buds 2 Plus
  • Realme Buds Air 7
  • Oppo Enco Buds 3 Pro Plus
  • Moondrop Space Travel 2
  • Realme Buds T500 Pro
  • OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro

At this point, mic quality in noisy environments is my highest priority, even above sound quality.

I don’t need “audiophile” sound anymore if people on meetings can’t hear me properly.

Budget is around ₹2500–3500, though I did briefly consider stretching higher for stuff like the EPZ G20 before realizing I might just be overcomplicating this whole thing.

Am I missing something in my research?
Are there any other earbuds/headsets/IEMs/options I should seriously consider in this range?

Also:

  • am I overthinking this too much?
  • is TWS actually the right direction for my use case?
  • or should I just accept that if mic is priority, a headset will always win?

Would really appreciate real-world long-term experiences, especially for:

  • mic quality in noise
  • call clarity
  • reliability/QC
  • comfort for long meetings
  • actual day-to-day usage

At this point I honestly just want the device that makes me sound the clearest in meetings without becoming annoying to carry/use daily 😭
