LOVE nexplanon

I’m a noob and haven’t posted on Reddit before EVER but I wanted to at least weigh in on Nexplanon. I’m 21F and I got nexplanon 3 weeks ish ago and have basically no side effects. For me, it hasn’t decreased my libido at all- it actually increased it because I no longer have a fear of getting pregnant. I’m very sexually active with my boyfriend and I love that I don’t have to worry about it. The insertion was also so so simple it took 20 seconds, I chose to do it through my primary care doctor for the procedure- they numbed me and it worked out perfectly I didn’t feel anything. The bruising looked really crazy and people were asking me how I got hurt LOL but took like 2 weeks to heal but now it looks pretty normal. Hasn’t made me less attracted to my boyfriend at all. I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL…. But I feel like there’s a correlation between taking the mini pill and being able to handle the arm implant. Since I was on the mini pill for like 3 months- which I did experience minimal side effects (nausea, anxiety) they weren’t bad at all. So when I switched to the implant since the implant is the same hormone in the mini pill I didn’t have any issues. Maybe that’s why. Also another reason I went on birth control is because I’m taking retatrutide and it decreases your body’s absorption to oral birth control.
