Anyone else have cyclic, rather than chronic, insomnia?
I will go several months with good, high-quality sleep. I'm talking spring out of bed, fresh as a daisy stuff. And then, every few months, I will get one week of just horrible insomnia. Within like 5-7 days, it usually clears on its own.
This week is especially bad. Here's what my nights looked like: day 1 I got 1 hour of sleep. Day 2 I got 2.5 hours. Day 3 I got 6 hours (love that for me!) Then, day 4, aka last night, I got 3.5 hours. I'm just kinda dealing with it, I have pounding headaches and its hard to do tasks that require mental energy. At my retail job I was really struggling too, constantly wishing I could go home but sticking through it because we're understaffed and dealing with a new process that just rolled out, so we need all hands on deck.
Anyone else dealing with this? I wish I could anticipate what causes it and make it go away. Perhaps I'll keep a journal of what I eat and do throughout the day, followed the next morning by writing how many hours of sleep I got.
