I just pushed v0.3 of Kiln (my Blender addon for baking procedural materials into export-ready textures).

The main thing is **Split Bake**: instead of producing one texture set per collection, you can split a single bake into multiple sets using one of five modes:

\- **By Material**: one set per unique material name.

\- **By Material Index**: one set per material slot. Useful for Geometry Nodes setups that need to be baked.

\- **By Object**: one set per object in the collection.

\- **By Mesh Island**: you choose how many texture sets to distribute the islands across, and Kiln groups them by size (largest islands together first, then smaller ones).

\- **By UDIM**: one texture set per UDIM tile, all remapped back to tile 1001 so it works in real-time engines.

Each group ends up as its own mesh in the \_Kiln collection with its own material, UVs and images.

Two smaller things:

\- An **Image Filter** setting (Linear/Closest/Cubic/Smart) for the baked image nodes. Closest is great for pixel-art or stylized stuff.

\- A **Bake Preview** that shows the texture count before you click Bake.

Free update if you already own it.

Happy to answer questions.

Kiln update - split your bake into multiple texture sets (by material, object, mesh island, or UDIM)
