I built Yummay! to solve my own dinner-time decision fatigue
Hey everyone, I wanted to share a small utility app I recently released.
I built Yummay! because I was struggling with serious decision fatigue every evening. I’d spend way too much time staring at the fridge or scrolling through delivery apps, unable to make a choice, which usually led to stress or just skipping a proper meal entirely.
I needed a "no-nonsense" way to outsource that final decision, so I made this. It’s a lightweight meal decider where you can store your go-to dishes and let the app pick for you when your brain is fried.
What I focused on:
- Speed: No accounts, no social feeds, and no bloat.
- Simplicity: Just a clean interface to get an answer in seconds.
- The "Veto" Effect: I found that if the app picks something and I immediately hate the result, I’ve actually discovered what I do want.
I’ve been using it for a while now to manage my own choice paralysis, and I thought it might be useful for others here who value simple, single-purpose utility apps.

I’d love to hear your feedback on the UI or if there are any small features you think would make it even more helpful for cutting through daily decision fatigue!
