Been making manuals in illustrator for years now

Vent

Newer graphic designer here, when an older coworker left for a different field I inherited all her responsibilities which included instruction manuals. All her manuals were done in illustrator, so I followed suit. Then I discovered this subreddit where people were singing indesigns praises for layouts and tried it out. It was so easy. I’m so mad I spent so much time in illustrator trying to lay out 20+ page documents when indesign is literally right there. It felt like sliding butter around a hot pan.

What other hot tips do you have for idiot designers like me.
