Beggers with childrens in pokhara
Every day on my way to college, I see a mother sitting by the roadside with her two children — near the corner in front of the Rangasala gate, beside Chinese Pool. Seeing her there every single day, begging while holding a tiny infant in her arms, genuinely breaks my heart. Many people from Pokhara who regularly use that road may have noticed her as well.
The woman, by appearance, seems to be Indian, but regardless of nationality, the condition of those children is deeply heartbreaking. The infant in her arms has done nothing to deserve such a harsh beginning to life, yet fate and the cruelty of this world seem to have placed unimaginable hardship upon that child from the very start.
This is not something that should simply be ignored as part of everyday street life. The concerned authorities and local bodies overseeing that area should look into the situation and ensure the safety and well-being of the children. Every child deserves care, protection, education, and the chance of a better future.
If the family is indeed from India, I hope the concerned authorities from both Nepal and India can coordinate and take appropriate humanitarian steps to help them. Compassion and responsibility should rise above borders when a child’s future is at stake.
