What Other Scar Design Could Have Fit Harry’s Story?

I’ve always wondered whether the lightning bolt scar really matched the lore behind what happened to Harry.

Considering it was caused by a rebounding killing curse, powerful protection magic and part of Voldemort’s soul attaching itself to him, I almost feel a more fractured or crack-like scar would have fit the atmosphere better than a clean lightning shape.

Something like a vein-like branching scar, almost as if dark magic spread under the skin for a moment or even something similar to a firework pattern with an impact point and thin branching lines radiating outward.
