Question about changing the battery myself

So, several of my g-shocks are not solar and have gone dead. I have the right tools now to replace the battery myself, but is it recommended? I'm nervous about compromising the water resistance. I just saw another post this morning about someone who had a 3rd party do the battery replacement and they went swimming and appear to have gotten moisture inside.

What do you all recommend? If I take extra care, should I be okay? What's the best practice here?
